Noob question about Big 5

I just got their ad, they have Steyr M95s for $79, are they cash and carry or does Big5 make you dros?

Unless you have a C&R + COE and the manager knows the laws..

If you buy two or three rifles at the same time, they all go on one DROS. Takes the average cost per rifle down.

They will likely give you a previous sale price on the Mosins to combine with your purchase if you ask nicely.

You may want to get a line on some 8 x 56R ammo before you get a Steyr. Not much surplus around anymore.

You can get modern ammo, but it comes without clips so you'd have to load one round at a time. You can get clips by themselves, but they are $5 or $10 each. By all means, get some old surplus ammo, it's the same price as the modern stuff ($12 for ten last I got some) but comes with clips. You only need one or two, but may as well got ten so you have some spares and can load them up ahead of time. It's a fun little carbine.

lately when i've been hitting up big 5's they have been stubborn and won't give you the sale price. this is all over the bay area. might be different in manteca, but i think someone from corporate yelled at all the managers. what you could do is when it goes on sale, put it on layaway (20% down), when the next one goes on sale, put that one on layaway etc... each gun should be on sale 1 week every 4 weeks. so you could get a steyr and an m91, an m44, m38 if you're lucky, and whatever else they might get...
