    New Steyr M95/34

So for my first license perches I went with the Steyr M95/34 from J&G and now that I have broken it down to clean I have to say I'm very happy with it. No rust or pitting above or under the wood and it looks like it has very strong rifling. Wood is solid but has character.

The reason it was probably in such good condition was that it was swimming in cosmoline. Hopefully after I clean it up I'll be able to post some pics.

On a side note anyone know anything about M95 markings or where to find info about them?

Update after a little cleaning I have a few pics. Pay no mind to the Buckler in the first one

I just got one of those myself. Now, I just have to buy ammo (or brass and projectiles, which aren't exactly a "bargain" either), and enbloc clips (to the tune of $10 each) so that it's not just a glorified "single shot". That being said, it does have a lot of character...

        I see why they're $99, though.

Ammos are expensive. It kicks like a mule in heat. Ammos are expensive.

Would be nice to have one in the collection.

Weirdest thing. I know where to get plenty of ammo for those rifles, but I can't find a rifle.

This one you can down load a disassembly/reassembly manual:
"The only thing necessary for the triumph [of evil] is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke speech of 23 April 1770, "Thoughts on the Cause of the Present Discontents," delivered to the House of Commons.

                  Go on...

Clips too. Those things are not cheap! Garand clips are about 1/3rd as much.

Well, a gun store in Grover Beach has a crate full of Nazi surplus. They had the charging clips too. I was there a week ago and he still has as many boxes of that ammo as he had two years ago.

Yes. Some of his ammo prices can be high, but it's not too bad. He had plenty of Wolf Gold in 7.5 Swiss.

I just bought 4 clips for $8...next time I get into town I'm going to dig through the treasure chest and see if I can find more.
I bought the bayonet from j&g back in december when I bought my m95 both are in mint condition. Also couldnt resist making a frog for the bayo as well.
Still waiting on an order from grafs for more ammo and reloading supplies.
