Above .... this is my 1st picture posts, so it was a test.

Now, the order was placed 1/12/13 for the 3 service grade SA Garands.
The guns are beautiful ... especially the first one lined up.

      1st & 3rd are ww2 dated receivers and barrels, middle is a '47' w/ 1953 barrel.

The 1st gun still has grease / cosmo between the wood and metal ... it appears to not have been dismantled when CMP processed it.

Needless to say, I am real happy.

      Thank you CMP.

Congratulation. Very nice with USGI park and not the dreaded "Greek Black". FYI #3089669 has either an HRA stock or if you are lucky the rare Overton IHC stock but more likely an HRA. Look for the Julian date on the barrel channel to make sure.

The M1 Garand is a special rifle ..... so much history and the feel of shooting one .... it's a firm "push" recoil. If you were on the business end, you damn well would be laying low. I like to think we aren't speaking a foriegn language because of this hardware and the soldiers that packed it.

Get one, shoot it, here it "ping" , think about our history .... M
