What should my next C&R purchase be?

Hi guys I've been into WWII rifles for about a year now and I have a restored Enfield No 4. Mark I and a CMP M1 Garand so far.

In my collection I'm trying to stick to allied-specific rifles. That said, what do you think I should add next?

Here's the enfield I just finished!

You have to get yourself an M1 Carbine!

Whats the going price for M1903s in shooting condition (good barrel)? I like to take my old WWII guns out to the desert and see what they're made of. I've gotten 1-2 MOA groups (lucky I think) out of my enfield before I took it all apart to restore it! I seem to recall the CMP selling some M1903s. Are they a good source?

                          1. M1 Carbine (this is an exceptional rifle, so x3 for this)
                          2. 1903-A3
                          3. Work on a Mosin Collection, 91/30 and then their variants. Be patient with the variants, good deals come up from time to time.

X2 ... I have a soft spot for these, being British. Just saw one on BBC 3 programme, "In The Flesh," was a No.1 Mk IV with a naughty, sticky-bolt.

                          Cheers!

Having had both, I preferred (by far) shooting my 03A3 over the 03. Superior sighting system. If I was you, find a nice M1 Carbine. Theres no funner plinker.
