    New Mosin-Nagant... Where to shoot???

So I'm stoked to have acquired a Mosin-Nagant 1891/30 and need to shoot it!

Do any of the indoor ranges in LA (Insight, LAX, Sharpshooters) allow it with non-magnetic/non-steelcore ammo?

I have a couple boxes of Winchester brass 7.62x54r, but where do I go to sight it & enjoy it without commuting to BLM or out in the desert?

Field Time shooting range in Stanton 25yards. Other wise its out to Burro Canyon or Angeles shooting range. Cheapest would be Burro Canyon.

Damn. Burro and Angeles are the closest to me (Long Beach), but not that convenient. Oh well....

Drive east to Corona. I believe you can also shoot surplus ammos there.

Angeles will only let you shoot ammo that is non magnetic tested by the bullet. The only stuff that has a non magnetic bullet is the Winchester ammo and the yugo surplus. If you want to be sneaky you can try to sneak in the cheaper golden bear ammo and mix in it with the other ammo when you shoot.

Any legal ammo can be shot here. Love this place, a tad pricey to get in but much better than an indoor

                      Thanks for the valuable insight...

Looks like some of the outdoor ranges allow it, in LA county it's Burro, and a couple of the of 909 and 949 ranges.

Nothing local. Thanks for nothing LA/LB!!

I was shooting Prvi ammo at field time target and training in Stanton. They have Prvi ammo there for sale too

I just bought an M44 too. Now i feel like i should return the gun..... i can't shoot the surplus ammo anywhere around here LOL(my fault for not checking that surplus ammo was all steel core) ]: . So our only option is shooting at Raahauges?

west end gun club lets you shoot all the steel core you want. 50 bucks to join and after than 5 bucks for each time you go out. 10 bucks to bring a friend.nice 100 yard range.
