I think sinking a couple of brass wood screws through it in combination with epoxy will make you a happy camper. I bet once it is screwed together tightly and glued, you will probably not even be able to see the crack. Here is an article that should give you some direction on how to best do this.

I have repaired a crack like that using some 1/4" wood dowels and titebond II
but i also got a few of those Clearview stocks and a couple were in amazing shape
They are real Romanian stocks, two that i got had gorgeous wood grain, crisp cartouches, never rearsenaled. Just minor finish wear. No cracks
However two that i got had some arsenal repairs
Looks like they separate the grades now
