Any way to get Sarco 1930s 1911s in CA

After looking at a bunch of threads on the 1911 forums, I'd like to get one of the 1930s Colts that Sarco has and re-blue it with a rust blue finish. Several folks have done that and had it turn out nicely.

Is there any way to do that? Another source? I know Sarco is a real pain and they probably won't ship to my 01 FFL even though as C&R these are exempt from the CA roster....

I'd call them and hope that the "probably ship" part becomes "will ship".

If you have a C&R and are mobile, you can have it shipped to a Nevada FFL and then pick it up there.

I thought Sarco wouldn't ship any firearms to California. I would have sworn that came up in a previous thread, but can't find it.

I've given them a few thousand dollars in business, but I wouldn't give them one red cent more.
They CHOOSE not to engage with CA based buyers, that to me is all I need to know.

I am not positive that they would let anyone from CA do that.
Call and try but the only time I tried they in effect told me to pound sand.

I see 1933 contract, so these are C&R eligible?

I assume so since it's in the C&R forum, but want to confirm.

May have to order one up as a project gun.
