I recently bought an SKS that was from a batch very similar to this one. It is by no means brand new, but the rifling was excellent and there was almost no rust and zero pitting. My biggest issue was that the safety spring was broken.

Can't blame 'em. While the price of just about everything has skyrocketed, the Chicom SKSs have only gone up by $50 to $100 depending on condition. At $300 they are still a great value, even the bit more rough examples.
