    Polish PPS-43C

Any idea where you can buy a CA compliant one?

    Are these any good?

I can't say I've ever seen one. I always thought they were cool looking though.
Its funny... Germany put serious time and effort in the design of the Schmeisser, and it seems like Russia, England, and the US just said the hell with it, let's make a cheaper version and hope it works. And they did.

I had one, bought it at River City in Sacramento. Last time I was there they had a few.

It was a fun gun but the magazine is a pain to use with a maglock because the lever isn't solid. Hard to describe, but instead of pushing against a flat release inside the maglock you have to hit it's edges and the edges are located next to the sides of the maglock. Could probably be corrected, problem is the upper is riveted to the lower - as soon as you remove the maglock you have an AW. I realize there's a "in my skivvies alone at home 3am" exemption to the AW laws () I guess I wasn't sufficiently motivated .....

The pistol worked well, had a bit more kick than I thought. With a sling tensioned forward it was fairly stable. I brought it up to OR a few times and the 36 round mags with no maglock were fun. All in all it was OK.

When I sold it as soon as I walked through the gun store door and said "put it on consignment" there were 3 guys clamoring for it. Never even made it into the showcase. So if you don't like it, it moves fast.

Its worth whatever you are willing to pay for it... How bad do you want it is the question.

I like WWII SMGs, I bought a Suomi M31 recently and I am extremely happy with it. Want to know from others if the build quality, functionality and coolness is worth $799.

Do you guys think its a good piece of milsurplus collectable?

              thanks

Were 43C's even in WW2? Im under the impression that these were recently made from left over parts? Looks like a cool toy nonetheless. I am refraining from doing research because I don't wanna end up with one of these. Haha!

If you want to wait out the panic buying and hope prices go down soon I would call the importer and see how their supply is of the 43C. If its in low supply then decide if it's something you need to put on your priority list.

Just by a simple search it looks like there are issues with some of the included mags.

                Good luck in your decision!

The problem is that only one store that I know of carries them in CA, as they have to be made CA compliant to bring it into CA.

Understandable. Since its one store as you say contact them and find out how available are they to get. If they only have one left, well... Decision is yours.

If you can afford it I say buy it. Sounds like you want it real bad.

Oh yeah. Suomi's are dope as hell! People think you have a thompson when you pull it out! Haha!

Just find one on the internet and have a middleman convert it. It's really simple to make a sled and fix it in the mag well. And it can be converted back if you travel to Free America, it doesn't hurt the gun. Takes less than 30 seconds to convert it.

Do you know any dealer that would do that?

Depending on who does it it may cost the same as just getting it locally.

If you get it locally you can at least inspect it.

These are not C&R have to be DROS as SSE. As OniKoroshi mentioned it may cost the same.
