    Mosin stripper clips?

I would like some Mosin stripper clips.

I see there are many vendors to choose from.

I would like ones that work.

Where is the best place to get some? Thanks

The clips/chargers are on Ebay but the people on Ebay are selling empty stripper clips for the same cost that you can pay for full stripper clips. JGsales.com ran out last week but they had 300 rounds on 60 clips/chargers for like $68 or something like that. Keep an eye out for that deal. I think Aim has them from time to time too. Other than that ebay has them.

Look for thin creased edges and a shiny tin finish. Those things are the finger slicers.

Original will be thicker gauge metal, dull finish (I've also seen some brass ones). They are out there, sgammo or j&g ? were selling some 54r with the stripper clips. Another clue on the finger slicer ones is that they normally sell 5 per pack - not that real ones wont be sold that way too.

            Good luck.

I just had a good laugh. On the non thumbslicer ebay link it has a picture of a kid pole vaulting with a Mosin. Probably an old pic but it was my first time seeing it. Thanks for the chuckle.

I second eBay. I picked up some clips that have the izzy triangle w/ arrow mark from a vendor.

A lot of people on gunboards forum actually sell the clips for pretty cheap (50-80 cents last I saw). I've never seen anyone on calguns sell them, but then again, I've never really looked in the ammo section aside from one time when I posted some of these for sale (no longer for sale though).

I've got to get in on this racket, guys selling these for $3 a piece and there's 60 per evil solder can. He will get $180 selling these on ebay after buying them and 300 rounds for $65 + shipping. Then maybe sell the 300 rounds for what another $100 locally to people who don't want to order a spam can and you have $280 for a $65+ shipping investment.

I have never been able to use the stripper clips in any of my mosins Ive tried many dif makers and styles but none have worked for me IMO its fadter to just reload one round at a time
Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man. Jefferson's "Commonplace Book," 1774_1776, quoting from On Crimes and Punishment, by criminologist Cesare Beccaria, 1764

                          2ND THAT!

I can load faster (and less bloody) w/o stripper clips.

I've never liked Mosin stripper clips either. My Mosin isn't a self-defense weapon and I'm not fighting on the Eastern Front, so I'll stick with manually loading rounds. It's quick enough for the range.

I agree. If you had a bunch of pre-loaded stripper clips then it may be faster. Otherwise, one at a time works fine for me.
