    no mosins

went to 3 BIG 5s and one turners. nary a Mosin to be found. yes i know you C&R holders can still order them ,the other 85% of us will have to look hard. i also stopped at a pawn shop that i bought a nice Romanian M-44 last summer . no Mosins. they did have a nice re barreled 1942 Springfield M1 for 1,300 bucks.
it is my guess BIG 5 just does not want to sell military type guns right now. i doubt their is a run on 5 round bolt Mosins.
the turners in chino hills was something to see. the pistol cases were empty, 80% of the rifle racks were empty. NO AMMO. the employs were standing around with nothing to do.

You still have time to get your C&R and buy buy buy before the end of the year Notabiker.

After years of speculation, the Mosin pool might actually be running low. Government encroachment on the 2A is causing people to buy anything they can get their hands on.

The fact that Mosins are fine rifles and affordable to buy and shoot will only speed this along.

Apply for your 03. It's really quite simple once you sit down and look at the forms. It will pay for itself halfway through your first purchase.

It takes 10 minutes and it is a fillable online form. Google how to apply for a C&R license and a Garand page pops up with full on step by step instructions with links to the correct forms. I finally broke down and applied last month. It's $30

To clarify, a C&R license costs $30 for THREE YEARS (less than 84 cents a month). That is the of the biggest BARGAINS in the entire World!

I think o3 license gives you more work and responsibility kepping track of each transaction. I had to get my M44 and paid 400 dollars. But it did come with a mojo rear sight, 90 rounds steel core, 340 rounds of yugo surplus. The price was a bit steep but i look at it this way. $250 for a all matching numbers, excellent condition, real tight no loose parts, and no sticky bolt. $50 dolars for mojo rear sight. $100 for ammo. got all little things that come with a mosin ammo pouch, oil can, some small bag, disassembly manual printout, and nice original sling. Oh and a nice recoil rubber buttstock thingy. i had to have it better than buying one for $280 or $300 for just the rifle which mite be in rough shape. Overal some of you may say i was ripped off but at the going rate and availability i am happy with my purchase. I am still in the market for some near $100 dollar mosin nagants or near $250 sks, but i had to have the mosin M44.

hopefully you guys can see the pics mite not be original finnish or laminate finish i hear about but either way real nice unissued condition i think if it is original finish its a 1946 M44

Pssht! $79.99 Mosins are never going to run out .... there are tens of thousands of crates in Ukrainian salt mines. But i dont know why you would want these as they wont increase in value.

They still haven't even gotten to the secret Mosins that they produced during the Cold War years. Adding these up, the total Mosin production is over 300 million. Endless supply
