I sent an email to Widener's and asked about the C&R status of those. I have one and it's C&R, the date is stamped on the rifle. It's a really cool rifle, surprisingly accurate and really light weight, less than 5lbs. They were never a military trainer, they were sold as a pest control rifle, you'll also find them called a Garden Gun. I only paid $100 for mine but even at $179, I'd get it if listed as C&R.

Well, here is what I asked:
Hello Wideners,

I have a few questions regarding the ZKM468 CZECH Training 22LR single shot rifle $179 each listed on your website. I own one of these fine rifles and it is classified as a C&R. The date is a tiny 2 digit stamp just to the left of the serial number. Mine happens to be made in 1950. Do you have any that are C&R? What condition are they in? The pic on your website looks great but I know the stocks were easily cracked alongside the bolt, just behind the bolt handle.

And their response:
The rifles are in near new condition and at this time we do not have any that fall in the C&R range.

That's a real bummer because they won't ship to an 01FFL in California.
