Anyone have a CMP rack grade carbine?

I just received my rack grade Winchester carbine yesterday. The only problem is the early two rivet RMC handguard is cracked. Other than that, it is slightly nicer than the service grades I have received. The stock is a walnut SA stamped M2 with a light FAT 69 stamp and a couple of dings. Muzzel test is excellent with 1/4+" of bullet showing. It was lightly oiled and ready to shoot out of the box.

I am still grinning about this one.

The Inland is the best deal out there.

I've gotten 4 Service and 1 Rack from CMP and the Rack isn't too far off from the service at all. The next carbine go-round I'm going for all racks. I got 3 service that gauge a 2.25 and the rack I got gauged 2.5. The stocks looked the same and the overall metal finish was the same.

I bought a 2nd hand CMP rack-grade. It's not impressive for collector's value as it's probably been rebuilt more times than windows software. It showed typical finds for a CMP rack-grade, very greasy (and incidentally broke) stock, gooey internals needing lots of cleaning work. Not trashed, but worn bore. external finish looks like bits of it was under a sander.

        Works great though!

I went through the trouble of fitting old parts back on so I can use it in reenactments and junk.

Mind you, I bought this one from someone that got it through CMP.
