    Back from Reno...

I went last year at this same time and there wasn't much in the way of C&R. This year was loaded with military and other C&R finds! It was a good day. My brother and I tool from 9:30 to about 4:30 to go through the show. Last year I think we were in the car by 2.
I can get the rifle delivered to my door so I mainly go up for the handguns.
So the finds are an Argentine 1911 and a Walther PP. My brother scored a Browning HP with Nazi proofs.
Prices were descent. When you consider the cost to get one shipped to an FFL01 in CA, they were awesome!
Here are mine but I don't have time to go through them yet as I'm painting today.

ya the only one to go to Reno today.

Also how do you go through the show by 2?

Only time I went I was going to go up on Friday, go through the show, repeat it on Saturday, and try to leave early afternoon.

Instead I don't think I went through even a third on Friday, Saturday was worse as more dealers showed up, had to stay for Sunday but had to move my room to a much more expensive room as it was a weekend in Reno without reservations. Finally Sunday afternoon rushed through the last bit of the show and rushed back to those items I decided to buy after going through the show. Spent over $1.5 k on just accessories and ammo, and still felt I had to rush through a third of the show where I did not talk to any of the dealers.

Ya I suppose I could have rushed through the show quicker if I was looking for a particular item and only looking at items that were priced but believe it or not the best prices were on items that were not priced with the little piece of paper. I think some dealers, the older ones, actually want and enjoy the conversation. The younger ones with the big banners and fancy displays had no deals that I could not find from the same type of dealer in the bay area gun shows.

Good score I think, as you did not list the price you paid. None the less a victory for California as there are at least two more firearms in the state than there was yesterday!

There was a gun show this weekend? Is it still happening Sunday and is it worth driving 4 hours for?

This year we where there until closing but last we were out early. I always go with a pretty focused list. Some things I oogle at but others I just glance as I pass. This year there was just more to oogle! BTW, I paid $800 for both. Considering no transfer fees, tax, dros, 10 day wait I think I did pretty well. Al at 61-2. Really nice guy and wonderful wife. At least on Friday had 3 real M1Ds, 2 M1As, a ugly chromed 1927, a russian and bulgy Mak (thinking Mak), very nice K31, and about three US military 22 trainers for very good prices. The K31 almost followed me home but I focused on handguns...

I just got back from Reno today. This was my first gun show, so I really didn't know what to expect. Lots of C&Rs, with a lot of that being cowboy stuff (lever guns and six shooters). I went with a specific shopping list, and came away with a couple of items I couldn't find online. I didn't stop to talk to too many people, so I was done by mid-day. More serious shooters and collectors could easily spend two days there.

My only firearm purchase was a CZ52. Just have to clean her up, get some ammo, and try it out!

I went Saturday. I couldn't find a thing I was looking for. Poly AK mag clamps, Saiga 12 mags, Improvised munition hand books.

There was some really amazing stuff there though. Not to mention every damn luger than Germany ever produced.

I picked up a 440 round crate of 7.62x54R for $85 and Yellow Tip 300 Round crate for $53 Both Bulgarian. Since I was buying for like 3 people we ended up getting 440x3 cans and 300x1 can yellow tip to split. 540 rounds each. Was a pain in the *** to get to the truck too. LOL! Oh those were from the Miwall Corp booth btw.

You know Miwall will let you use their dollies if you leave your drivers license.
