    Question about c&r rifles

So, I just submitted my app for the 03 FFL, but I really want a few of the Yugo SKS's on wideners. My question is....since I don't have the license right now, would buying one be the same as it is purchasing any other gun out of state?

Yes. Except Wideners won't ship to a 01 FFL in CA.

Grrrrr, so my only options are to find a friend with a C&R or wait two months for my 03 FFL and pray to god that they'll still have some? (Which I know they won't).

Actually, It would be considered bad form to have a "friend" purchase a weapon for you -

That's a straw purchase. You don't want to go down that road.

Gotcha! Good thing I asked lol.

Well, I guess I'll be hoping the BATFE hurries up with my app.

No you find a collector that wants to enhance their collection of sks . They buy 2/3..ect , they pick the best and sell you whats left over . To even say straw purchase is rediculous . If you can legally own a gun you in no way need straw purchase

Look around on Gunbroker or Guns America and see if you can find one from a seller that does layaways. That's what I did while I was impatiently waiting for my 03 to come in.
