Chinese SKS for 309

I was able to purchase all the guns on my wish list in the last fours years with the notable exception of some type of AK. I always wanted something to use to "toss" back any battlefield found 7.62x39 at the Chinese, Russians, or Muslim terrorists as they flee in terror from the American Militia should they be stupid enough to attempt an invasion someday. However, now that the PANIC has set in, I'm going to wait and see if the AK prices get normal in the next year or two before I buy at today's prices. SO... the question is.. is $309.00 a fair price for a Chinese SKS these days? It's from a reputable dealer, so I am sure it is in serviceable condition. What think thou?

Chinese SKS is a big catagory.

Are we talking a pre import ban Norinco? A paratrooper or standard?

Or are we talking one of the recently released Factroy 26 C&R sorta beat up ones?

Im going to guess Factory 26, Wideners was one of the last retails to have any and I think they wanted something around 260-280. Turners had some and I think they where on sale for 250. So yes you have missed the boat by a little bit. But it does not sound like 310 is a crazy markup. IMO If you really want one get it, prices won't come down for a while. And these will have completely dried up and may never be this low again.

Why I am in favor of the sequestration defense spending cuts - I would also like the opportunity to defend the US mainland by myself.

What Chaos47 said. You could have gotten a "Sinobanian" Type 56 SKS for $232 shipped in November (Grabagun) or $200 C&R directly from Century, but that was then. If the metal is in good shape, $309 is probably a good price.

I saw that ad, looks like the batch that was selling for 239 and up few months ago. I dont think 309 is bad if you really want one.
