I dont too much care for the scout or side mount scope options, anyone know where i can get one. How hard will it be to do myself.

The ZRAK mount is probably what you want, unfortunately they have shown as "coming soon" for a couple years:

They do come up on Ebay from time to time, here is a damaged used example, you may be able to make it work:

Accumounts high-turret also says it fits Yugo Mausers.

We deliver the highest quality sniper scope mounts and accessories for German, Russian, Yugo, Swiss and Swedish military rifles.

The Leupold base for K98s works fine. It just sits a bit more forward...

You will have to bend the bolt enough to keep it from smacking the scope, which also means you will have to either remove wood from the stock, or metal from the ball on the bolt. If you plan on using heat to do this, you will need to also buy heat control paste...

Did you have to mill anything to get it to fit?

No. They make a 98k mount that is designed to fit over the receiver hump on the back of the receiver. No need to mill...

Try EGW, they have a K98 mount that you can use if you reloate and drill extra holes in front reciever area of mount. They may also sell blanks.
