    A little CMP help

I want to buy from CMP, live in the boonies (eureka) where the only CMP approved organization is somewhere I don't shoot, don't really want to be a member of, and is cost prohibitive. Is there an option for buying from CMP to your FFL? Any ideas?
Buying a safe and sane firework is like paying a hooker for a hug. I do not see the appeal in it.

Join the Garand Collectors Association. Go to their website and you will find all the details on how to become a member.

You can use an HSC or CCW in lieu of a range signoff, and you can join the Garand Collecter's association online. They send your membership info directly to CMP.

I have the shooting activity covered by active LEO status and a range master gig at a local school. Will look at the above place for a membership

            CRPA counts also
Q: What was the most positive result of the "Cash for Clunkers" program?
A: It took 95% of the Obama bumper stickers off the road.

You live in California. There's always more crazy. It's a renewable resource.

My apologies if this is a repeat question but I used the search and am not finding an answer.
When ordering from CMP, does California still require the firearm to be shipped to an FFL?
I have sent in my forms for a C&R license but have not received it yet.
              Thanks.

No(unless you want one of the commercial .22 rifles they sell). CMP surplus doesn't require an FFL, or being shipped to an FFL, or being registered(until 2014 anyway), and ships straight to your doorstep via fedex.

                  Awesome. Thanks.
Can't wait for the C&R for all the other goodies available via the web. BATFE has already cashed my check.

So the Kimber 82's can be shipped to your door, too?

All rifles CMP sells can be shipped directly to you
The M1 Collectors Club is a cheaper alternative for club membership. Only $14 and runs for a full year from the day you join unlike some of the other clubs mentioned

Yes. As I said, anything but the commercial .22 rifles can be sent to you. The kimbers are surplus. Scroll down and you'll see how there are precisely 3 exemptions to the "ship everything to your door" on one specific page http://www.odcmp.com/Sales/22commercial.htm

Not true. The commercial .22 rifles they sell must be transferred through a dealer.

True, I was speaking of Surplus rifles which I thought this tread was about
