C&R rifles

Hey guys new to the C&R world. Have had my C&R for about 6 months but I have yet to use it.

Good news is I will be visiting my dad in Georgia next week and the same weekend I'm in Georgia theres a gun show about an hour away from his house.

What are some good C&R rifles to look for?

So far only thing I came up with was a M1 Garand.

Any other good suggestions?

Go for the C & R handguns!!

as for rifles, go for the C & R's that are under 50 years old that are not considered AW's by Ca standards.

If you don't have one, get a bore light to check out the bores before you buy any C&R rifles. Headspace gauges are optional (and expensive), but bore/throat erosion tools might be worth the investment.

For my money I'd lean towards looking for good deals on C&R pistols. If you find a good price on a EG Makarov, wartime BHP, Luger, or ______ , it's an even better deal since you don't have to suffer the fees and wait with a california dealer, just send in the required DOJ form.

For long arms I like any good deal on any and all of the suggestions above, the SVT, FN49, Hakim.....

Everyone has their preferences, you may have your own focus, but here's my personal want list...

If you had more time there I'd say take in some of the estate auctions, but maybe next time.

Man do I have a lot of studying to do on C&R firearms.

Get a sniper rifle asap even a low end Mosin Nagant PU but better yet an M41b before they disappear. M1 Garands & M1 Carbines from CMP are probably the best C&R buys out there today.
