Bayonets: M48 / K98

I want to get a bayonet for my M48 Mauser and was thinking of posting a WTB add. It's my understanding that the K98 bayonet fits the M48. If so, I'm probably better off asking for a K98 bayonet, which a lot of people might have, as opposed to an M48 bayonet, which people with K98's might think they don't have? Not sure what they go for, but my Mauser is very clean and I want my accessory to be just as nice. The beat-up / pitted ones I saw at my last gun show were going for $60-$80. Are the two interchangeable?

A K98 Bayonet will be 3 to 4 times that.

That's good to know. I checked their site and it looks like they have kits with the sling, bayonet, ammo pouches, etc. too. Might just go that way. I didn't know the M24 was interchangeable too. Choices, choices. Thanks emcon5.

A 98K bayo will fit the Yugos, but not always the other way around.

got my bayo for my M 48 at the CM gun show for 35 bucks, like new with scabbard.
