    Is this rifle C&R

A while ago i purchased one of the 308 Garands from the CMP, it is built on a WWII reciever. I am thinking about selling it, and i thought that it would no longer be C&R because of the conversion but i wanted to double check.

I would say yes (C&R)as everything is still in it's original configuration and the Navy did use 7.62/308 Garands. All that is done to convert is changing the barrel. Plus many of the larger companies selling Garands such as Orion 7 offer the 308 option and sell them as C&Rs.

I would agree that it is C&R because it is in a configuration that the military did use. I bought and later sold an Orion 7 .308 conversion as C&R.
