    Remington Model 11 serial #

Today I purchased a Remington Model 11 in 12gauge from OC Armory

I was wondering if there is any way I could track down what year it was made?

Thank you for your help from a C&R newb

Sure, what is the serial? Also, Google "Remington Barrel Date codes."

The serial number is 766390 which seems weird for a Remington as I thought they had letters also

Looks like 1947, last year of production.

I just got off the horn with Remington and the kind lady said my Model 11 was made in 1945
