    sks gas tube question

New to sks wanted to find out what is too loose for an sks gas tube when locked it moves a little bit when i unlock it i put an envelope between the gas tube in front and when i lock it it pinches th envelope. will the carbon from firing the rifle be enough to take care of it or should i look into replacing it. if i have to replace where would be a good place to start looking the blueing is mostly gone so i would really hate to replace it because i love the look of it would prefer a fix if necessary.

    thanks for any help

I have no clue how it shoots Im still in the cleaning the cosmoline stage .I was just looking around in the forums about the sks and saw a few post about sks not cycling properly because of loose gas tubes and noticed after cleaning the cosmoline from the gas tube it rattled a little so I wanted to know how loose is to loose so that I can look into fixing it or not before I take it out to try out its a Chinese sks that turners has been selling the last few months

won't know until you shoot it, not likely to have issues with the wobble on a chinese SKS. i've had a few of these rifles go through my hands throughout the years, almost all of them had some type of gas tube wobble

            think positive thoughts
