    Flying with a C&R firearm

    OK, here is an interesting one. I am going out of state for business. I found a C&R qualified long arm. Could I buy it and they fly back with it? Obviously checked in as luggage?

    it would be the same as any other firearm. in a metal locked box and anything else the airline requires. i have heard that some allow plastic cases but not sure. and i dont think it would be as luggage.

        It may be less trouble and expense after buying a FAA certified case to just ship it back home to yourself via UPS.

            From personal experience, pay the extra $$ and ship it. It will make life a whole lot easier.
