Anyone know of a place that buys Antique swords in Southern CA? I have a 1850 staff and field officers sword that I would like to sell to someone and maybe get a price on how much its actually worth? Thanks

I think Martin B Retting in Culver City does that too...lots of old stuff there.

I bought a couple German Weimar era dress sabers on a whim and had almost instant buyers regret. I asked a few stores in Socal how much they were worth and got anywhere from $50-125. I paid $60 each so I just held onto them for a year or so. Ended up selling them on Ebay for $250!! Lesson? Its expected retail stores will lowball you but sometimes its by alot!

                Littlejohns in Orange - maybe
There used to be a sword store across the street from Retting. Is he still in business?
