Finally got my M1 from the CMP on Dec 7 of all days! Updated with pics

I got an HRA service grade with new cmp wood. It came with HRA trigger group, op rode, bolt, etc... As far I can tell, the only thing not HRA was probably the windage nob.

Tag with her says muzzle 1+, throat 2+(what exactly does that mean?)

What items usually have maker's marks so I can see just how correct Mine came?

I also had the fortune of taking her to the range yesterday! Using surplus Korean ammo, she seemed to shot pretty straight, but I can't tell since I was having muscle spasms, so I was hitting all over the place! Guess that's what happens when you go riding for 8 hours the day before going to the range. I was able to hit the steels at 200 and 400 yards with ease. I was just low on my last shot of the day at 600 yards.

Well, thats it for now till I can post pics

When CMP puts a "+" after a reading they are saying it's a hair over that number but they are conservative rearing and usually reads that number when you verify with a Stone Axe gauge.

Check the gas plug as it too should have HRA along with elevation knob. The other parts are not marked and you will have to know what to look for to determine who made them.

If you fired KA ammo, make sure you clean your tube and gas cylinder thoroughly as it might be corrosive.

    Now post some pics.

What day did your order arrive at CMP?
Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)

Thanks for the heads up on KA ammo. I'll give her a good cleaning after my next trip to the range this coming weekend!

As far as pics, my camera battery was dead when I went to take M1 porn pics for y'all. I'll try again tomorrow now that the battery is fully charged!

              re: muzzle and throat

He's right that + means a little more than, but I'm guessing if you're asking the numbers still don't mean anything. :-) 1+/2+ is really good - your barrel has had hardly any rounds through it.

                    Here's the entire family I know, I know, I'm still missing the M1 Carbine, M1903 and 1911.

What a very balanced family. Great taste if you ask me (Except Glock for Xd)

And yes, try and get a carbine and 1903/1917 before 2014.
