    Loaning a C&R Firearm?

I have researched some on this and it's all over the map. I would like to loan my step-son in Az an M-44 over the holidays. I would deliver it then bring it back here to Cali in Feb. Of course, log it out and then back in the bound book.

    Legal?

    Thanks

He "bought" it from you and you're going to "buy" it back later?

It then would have to go through 01FFl for interstate transfer. But loaning?

For it to be legal, your step son would have to come to California and pick up the rifle at your licensed premises. He could then ship it back to you or you could go pick it up when the loan is over.

The other option is to ship it to a dealer in Arizona for the transfer. Your step son could then ship it back to you directly or you could go pick it up.

All of the above assumes your step son is at least 18 years old.
