for you old enough guys, in the old days Cracker Jax Carmel popcorn had a toy in the box. kids wanted the toy more than the Cracker Jax. opening that box and checking out the numbers, stamps ect is just like the old days with Cracker Jax. you do not know what you got until you open it up. we are all just big kids.

I have to agree on the overall condition of these mosins that that Big 5 had recently. I bought two mosins blindly (none in stock so a warehouse order) and I wasn't expecting much. Man they look cosmeticaly good. Two war time productions, a '42 and a '43, both Ishevsk(don't think I spelled that right). The 42 has a somewhat rough receiver but they both are not counter bored(both passed the bullet test) and man do they shine right through the cosmo. The wood is excellent too, no refurb stamp. Only wish I had more money at the time to get a couple more on the same dros.

I will be posting pics of the two I got on Black Friday, both of which are some of the nicest ones I've seen.

            1940 Tula all matching
            1940 Izzy all matching

            $260 OTD for both.

I received my first PWA import at Big 5 in January. I was very pleased with the quality, including packing, matching bayo and appearance. YMMV. Best wishes. Dave
