6 digit SA SG arrived today from CMP

It took six weeks, but it's finally here. I had asked for a 5.3-5.8mil, and was wishing I had asked for a WWII serial number instead. Turns out i got lucky as they sent me an August 1941 manufactured 6 digit with SA bolt and SA barrel. Not sure of the other components yet.

The only thing better would have been USGI wood. The CMP stock is great, but very dry.

Congratulation! Looks nice and USGI finish. I love my 6 digit SA as well with a VAR tube. Thanks for posting pics.

Very dry stocks do a good job of soaking up BLO.

      Good luck w/ that 6-digit.

      Closest I've gotten was a 1.06M w/ a like-new '66 VAR Bbl..

Any rebuild markings on the receiver legs?

      Congrats on a fine rifle.

Sweet rifle! great looking finish on it too. I got a 600,000 range serial numbered SA back in September from the Cmp. Made me very happy. As for the stock BLO will do that stock wonders, just don't let it gum up when applying.

Very nice rifle- I picked up a HRA SG from CMP a few months ago. I worked the stock with Tung Oil and it came out OK with me. Just lacks the reddish tint that GI stocks have.
