    My P-38 Byf 43 Bringback

I just picked this up from a coworker today, he was pretty firm on price but managed to talk him down a little, I think I did okay for an all matching non import stamped vet bringback from Ww2. He says his grandfather took it off of a German Officer.

Bluing is a little worn and some minor pitting on the slide due to being stored in the holster all those years.

Wow, that looks different than my P38 I bought today. Very nice score.

Besides the markings, the biggest difference is the grips. Plenty of original and repro WWII grips out there:

Nice rig. I hope you take time to research the P38 production and variations.

Very nice, looks to be in better shape than my AC44; they are fun to shoot, but then again, what isn't?

I researched it for about a month leading up to the purchase, it's cool to have something with a known history and orgin.
