    VZ-24 disassembly question.

I have a VZ-24 which I have owned for over 10 years now and I have never completely disassembled it. It's not me being lazy it's this screw:

Every time I go shooting it still bleeds cosmo from in between the stock and handguard. Do you guys know where I can find a screwdriver for this screw? Thanks.

Ace Hardware sells this screwdriver bit set that has 100 different pieces for $10-$15. It comes in a red plastic container. The bit you're looking for is in that set. Other places might sell it too but I've only bought them from Ace.

I used a small pair of needle nose pliers.... but I would invest in that screw set if I were you.

Thanks for all the replies, just found that set on Ace Hardware's website. I'll stop by local shop tomorrow.

I did the same. FYI, when you get to the threads, that's a machine screw, not a wood screw, so the needle nose pliers should work okay...

...but yeah, you should get a good set of screwdrivers, if you plan on doing a lot of gunsmithing work. If you try to remove the mauser cross-bolts, the needle nose aren't going to cut it. Those things are stuck in there pretty good.

I just took an old flat screwdriver I had and filed down the middle, effectively creating two prongs on the blade. Worked great and was free.
