I had a Benjamin Model 312. Same rifle but in .22 cal. It was given to me by an elderly neighbor about 1977. I wrote to Benjamin asking about age, and they sent me a flyer or drawing with some info.

Basically, if the bolt handle screwed into the bolt body, it was pre-1953. If it was a 1-piece bent bolt, it was 1954 or later.

Like a fool I sold it in the late 80's to a friend with kids who collected vintage airguns. Like I wouldn't ever get married and have kids??? (Yes I did and have 3 kids.)

You could check www.gunpartsco.com (aka Numrich gun parts) for the Winchester. You can check online by model number.
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

I belong to the group that uses firearms, and knows which bathroom to use.

Tis better to have Trolled & lost, Than to never have Trolled, at all.
