    Russian TT-33 trophy? super clean

I dont know much about pistols but looking around this pistol seems to be in about the best shape ive seen a russian in. Numbers match not the mag. No safety and no import stamps. Is this a possible bring back or what? I picked it up at a local pawn shop for $249. they had a Romanian for $199 I had the romanian then decided the russian was worth $50 more. what say you?

Aside from the jury-rigged takedown latch, that's a big score

Barrel should be numbered as well. Hell does the mag match too?

Awesome score! All you need is the slide stop clip and you're set. To meet ATF importation rules, it would need a safety installed so you stand a good chance that it's a bring back from somewhere.

Barrel and trigger pack match. Mag does not.

Fantastic deal on a great pistol.

Shoot it ( I shoot my Russian )-- commercial ammo is generally a better deal than the surplus at this time.

J&G usually has it in stock. I'm going to switch to the PRVI when I run out of surplus:

You made the right decision - that is fantastic and a more than fair price. I'm jealous. I never find anything at pawn shops! Which pawn shop was this?

Great pistol. You did great on the price. You can likely find the missing takedown clip at numrich.com or jackfirst.com

Just a reminder to all, just because a weapon does not have "import marks" does not make it a "bring back". Import marks as we see today were only mandated after 1986. There were literally millions and millions of military firearms imported after WWII and up to 1968 when limits were placed on them to limit imports and competition with US arms makers.

So speculation on whether a arm was carried home by a GI is really useless unless the arm also has the proper paperwork documenting it's history.

Backstrap ...Fantastic pistol. It's even better than it looked in the cell phone pic's you sent!!!

$249 for a WW2 Russian Tok is a steal! You could easily sell it for twice that.
                      Because milsurp.

True, but not much was imported from Soviet Russia during the Cold War.

wow! 250, you stole it. Replace the missing clip on the side and you can easily sell it for 600-800 bucks.
