    What book store?

We don't have book stores in Salinas.

I bought that magazine and the last of the Guns & Ammo Surplus special editions. The new Military Surplus magazine is better in every way. The writing, pictures, and production quality are all very good.

You're pretty late on sharing this magazine. I got this like way back in September. I bought it at Pak n Save and seen it at many grocery stores and wallgreens

I think it is a once a year issue so do not fall too in love.

I couldn't find this magazine anywhere so I ordered it off of their site and it got here in less than a week even though they say it could take 6 to 8 weeks.

If you are in the market for a Garand or 1903 Springfield or ammo for them, check out CMP; Civilain Marksmanship Program. All their rifles come in varous grades. They have a big website too. They actually have two stores, one at Camp Perry, near Port Clinton, Oh, not far from Cleveland and the other is near Anniston, AL.
I have been to both stores. The are Federal exempt and you do not have to have a C&R license. Also they will ship your rifle/s in a plastic harden case by Fedex to your door for $22. Thats the only way they ship. You can order online providing you meet some requirements, like belong to a pistol and rifle club. I joined the Calif Pistol and Rifle Assn for $22. It is recgonized by them. I found out just showing my retired Military ID I dont have to belong to anything. At the stores, you can pick out the items yourself and there are armourers there to assist you and answer all your questions.
                              I have 3 Garands from them plus a 1903 Springfield, Mark I.
                              I highly recommend them.
