The fact that you have that paperwork is a plus for many buyers.

People pay a premium for old DCM rifles over the CMP rifles.

There is an underwood for $825 shipped over at the CMP forums right now

Yes but, this fella is looking for TOP dollar. This ones a mix master with a few correct parts. This ones a semi correct. I would just start advertising this rifle every where you can in the $2-$3000 range. People will start talking about it posting links to it and you may find a guy looking for a semi correct to fill a gap in a semi correct collection and offer an amount you like. Good luck.

Well the OP has the right to ask anything he wants for his rifle. The ONLY thing he has going for that rifle vs. any other arsenal or CMP rifle is the DMC paperwork. There really isn't enough posted info to really tell how "correct" this rifle might be , BUT like most rifles that have been arsenal rebuilt , few original parts remain.

The rebuild process is a lot like a sausage grinder. Rifles go in one end and get completely taken apart and the parts where tossed in bins for inspection / rework. The rifle receiver and barrel where inspected / reworked and then the rifle was reassembled with parts that had already been inspected / reworked. The odds of having all the correct original parts go back into a rifle are just about zero.

Just so you are Tracking I sold it for $900 including some mag rebuild kits. I wont name the Buyer LOL, if the Buyer wants to talk about it it is on him. I wasnt looking for "TOP" dollar, otherwise I would have listed it for 1200-ish like I saw at the CM gunshow.

                  You are the seller right?

Kidding aside. I am the buyer and the OP was wonderful to work with and did in fact give me, what I feel, was a very good deal. And the rifle looks better than any of our piddly pictures can show.

                  Thanks again!
