Why do you guys do not use Paul Clean...

I know, it's because there is no US or Canadian distributor but I 'm working on that now so stay tuned...

I collect Military Arms and enjoy shooting in local matches. I also collect older Lever Actions, especially those chambered in odd/old cartridges. If you have a nice old Winchester or Marlin in 25-20, 32-40, 38-55, 40-60, 45-70, etc etc, please PM me and we can work out a deal.

Check that video clip at the right in the start screen of that website to understand what I mean.
It's made in Italy and pretty much around in Europe, they just forgot about the US.

So they're pre-oiled, or pre-solvented(is that a word?), or dry patches. I don't see what's so special about that. I also don't see why anyone would need dry patches that come on a roll, or patches that come in a can. Just seems like extra packaging that I'd be paying for with no benefit.

The shape of the patches is neat I guess? But I can already do that pretty cheaply myself.

edit: Also, poking around and finding a price for the oiled patches from a Swiss retailer, converting the price of 29 Swiss francs(CHF) to USD gets me $30. Now I know a lot of European countries have VAT, so maybe that's included, but it still seems kind of high for a product that saves me the time of dripping oil onto my own patches, in what appears to be a very tiny quantity. http://www.blum-waffen.ch/datensites...paulclean.html

After looking through the advertisement, it looks like their big selling point is "no skin contact" so all this extra packaging and covering is to prevent any "oil" from touching your hands. I'm still thinking this is a solution to a non-existent problem. Not interested.
