I was a bit of a snob last week at Turners when I went in to check out the SKS' they had and decided not to buy. Regretting it now, any chance we will see them there again in So-Cal? I don't have a C&R so local pick-up without FFL transfer fees are the only way I would get one. The "best" one they had was gnarled and the metal looked horrible but I could have made her look good again. So stupid.

Simply because of the extreme exception of these being C&R and coming into the US, I doubt you will see more of these. I don't know how large the lot is, but my bet is that when Century runs out, that is it.For Sale: Off Roster Handgun Moving Sale

Some guys are selling some in the marketplace, just watch out for them.Comment

There's no way to know if there are more out there. The Romanians came in a few batches. Some were very rough condition. The last batch from Century were generally in excellent condition, although many with nonmatching, dinged stocks and none with cleaning rods. They didn't last long. I'm looking forward to the next batch of Sino-Albanian SKSs.

I'm sure someone who bought more than one will be willing to share the wealth with ya... for a price.Sent from free America otherwise known as Utah.Comment

Haha hit me up, I am willing to pay a similar price as they were being sold. Transfer fees and DROS above that makes it a bit prohibitive but I would like one. Oh well. Should have, could have... Should have I guess"These surplus guns are cool not because they go Pew, but because where and when they have Pew'd"

Oh, not me. I got 3, 2 are still in the box, caked with cosmoline and one I spent HOURS cleaning up. I'm going to shoot the one I cleaned up and the other 2 are already in the back of the closet next to my untouched blonde Yugo.
I'm not a hoarder, and I resent the implication.

Yes, I am afraid in retrospect a few people will feel like they missed the boat. The last thing I needed was another SKS, but the price, being all milled, and C&R shipped right to my door was too much to resist. I ordered two from J&G and when those ran out I ordered two more from Classic Firearms. The two arrived from J&G in very good shape and just needed a little TLC. I am looking forward to the Classic ones.
At this point I am not planning to sell any of them, but if I have a bad weekend in Vegas, who knows?Comment

I think as the years go by, we'll see a lot more of the ChiCom ones coming in as C&R as long as they were Military and not commercial. C&R is exempt from the ban."No posts of mine on Calguns are to be construed as

Well if they are out there and I think they made more than 1 or 2 of those SKS's ; ) .
I would think now is the time that they can maximize the profits from bringing them in.
Does any SKS expert know approximately how many were made worldwide? My guess is between Texas and California we bought half of them.Comment

Feeding frenzy at work here. They are interesting and a few people have found some nice ones but the majority of them seem to be project guns with rust. Had to pass.NRA Certified Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor, Shotgun Instructor and Range Safety Officer

Any rust? I have no problem with thrashed stocks and no bluing, but when I poked my bore light down the barrel and there was a quarter-sized patch of rust and pitting, that put me off. I looked at a total of six and they were all that way at two different Turners.NRA Certified Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor, Shotgun Instructor and Range Safety Officer
