    Can these be fixed? (K98)

These are all deactivated, my question is whether or not a trained gun smith could fix it up to shoot again. What do you think?

Hmm lead fill bore I take it? I know the gun shop owner Alex at Alex Imports in La Mesa has take some of those ROTC Drill Rifles and turned them into functioning shooters. I believe they were Springfield 03's and m1-Garands. I think it can be done :P

Hard to tell for sure what is going on there, and it would be interesting to see what is under the wood.

My guess is hell no. If those are holes drilled (or torched) in the action, it will never have the structural integrity to shoot again. Even if the holes could be patched, they would not be as strong as it once was. Even if possible, it would not be cost effective. If the rifles are otherwise complete (stock, handguard, bands), and the price is right, get one and a barreled action from R Guns and combine them into a shooter.

Spoke to the owner, he said they have 6 holes in barrel, chamber pinned, bolt cut 45 degrees. Ruined.

Is the stock complete? How much does he want for it?

Norwegian capture 98k's in Germany - so you're dealing with 2 sets of Marx-licking pseudo-socialist criminal & repressive laws. Add to that the difficulty (but not impossibility) and cost of importing them here.

Wall hangers or parts guns. The morons who write and pass laws that require this kind of vandalism, as the only way a law abiding collector can possess these weapons for his collection, should have their hands cut off so they can't write any more of these criminal statutes, and should have their faces branded so other folks can recognize and avoid them. Of course, other folks who aren't as soft-hearted and easy-going as I am when it comes to evil deeds like this might think that a more severe punishment is merited.
