    Latest Arrival from J&G

Here is the latest arrival from J&G Sales, a Hand Select - Matching numbers.
Serial number 3224861, all matching parts numbered 224861 /26\. MUCH less cosmoline than my Alby bolt SKS maybe only 40%? Finish in exposed areas is maybe 0 on the buttplate to 50-60 %, under the wood the finish is 80% or better I think. Wood condition is much better than the first Hand Select only one I received. Parts are in the degreaser now. A thought on the "less cosmoline" than my other SKS, and I only have one "Hand Pick - Non-Matching"to compare it to is they may have cleaned some of the cosmoline to verify numbers??? Normal to leave the date code number off when numbering the rest of the parts other than the receiver?

There are so many dings, you would have thought a whole Division of Frenchmen dropped it...

              Seriously, nice find!
Actually I only started collecting Milsurps 3 years ago. I think I might own about 24...They're cheaper than guns that will most likely never get the opportunity to kill somebody...

Thanks to all for the compliments! I was quite surprised, pleasantly this time, unlike the first one that has the gouge of wood missing and the Albanian bolt carrier. I really tossed the idea around of sending it back, until "Vlad11" sent me over to the SKS Boards and I got a little "education" about it. Back in the 1980's early 1990s I was an 01 FFL and sold the new Norinco SKSs. Even had one for myself, but never eally got into the SKSs. Sold my Norinco years ago and never thought I'd be buying another SKS.....until I found the quality of the military issue SKSs. Plus shooting the M59/66A1 and the M56 from J&G was such a pleasant experience, I'm sad to say, hooked! Garands and SKS's are my favorites to shoot! Gonna have to sell off some stuff to support the new habit and make room in the collection!

                              Very nice...like the side swivel.
