Looking to value 2 Rifles: Remington Rolling Block & Kar 88

I just inherited these 2 rifles a few weeks ago. I am not too familiar with them. Can you guys offer me anymore information on the below rifles? Are they rare? What are they valued at?

    Thanks for the help!

    Remington Rolling Block:

    Caliber 7mm
Seems to be all matching parts
    Excellent rifling/bore and beautiful patina

    Kar 88:

    All matching parts
    Excellent condition
    Excellent bore and rifling
    Original rifle sling

If you intend to fire the Kar 88, make sure you have the right ammo for it. Todays 8mm is not the same as it was back in the 1890s.

That RRB appears to be a New Model carbine, introduced in 1902. They used a straight up ear on the breech block, where the standard 1902 rifle used one pointed to the side.
Many were exported to Central & South America. Mexico was a big buyer.
Any stampings on the stock or elsewhere?

It's been a long time since I played around with Rolling Blocks, but I'm guessing around $350 or so on that one - it's well used, but not beat to hell and heavily rusted like many of the ones that were used in the wet parts of Central America.

The Kar 88 would have been an $800 rifle if someone hadn't assed up the front sight by removing the ears - a common problem with these for some reason. Still it's a rare little carbine and highly sought after, so even with the damage done to it probably a $600 rifle.

Picked up a 7mm roller at Imbert and Smithers two months ago for $275, was not as nice as yours but im having Kendog4570 rebarreling it as I speak in 30-30 gates on a Kreiger 10" twist 27" varmint weight barrel.

Had bought another 7mm one a while back (3 years ago) for $250 so $350 is about right.

Most people dont shoot 7mm mauser and shy away from them in the older actions, not really collectable unless pristene and most people buy them for the action to turn into BPCR guns.
