C&R premises question

Those of you with c&r's, do you have multiple address on your liscence? Different premises and mailing addresses? Which one it is it shipped to? I need to change my address, is the address the firearm sent to the premisis addess or the mailing address? Have you had any issues with BATF over it? Basicaly I need to have the firearms sent to my shop, so I can have a fixed address indefinetly. I imagine the guns don't need to be stored at the place they get shipped to.


I just don't want to have to keep doing this, I want to keep it all the same for the couple years until I need to renew.TIA

I was curious about that also. It would be better to have my guns shipped to work as I'm NEVER home when UPS or FedEX is working.

They ship to the address on the license. This is the place the guns are stored. If you are not able to be home for pick up then deal with the delivery person not BATF.

There is no legal requirement for the firearms to be shipped to your licensed premises or even your mailing address, but nobody in their right mind is going to ship any firearms to you unless the address is on your license.

Most sellers will only ship to the premises address on your license, but some will also ship to the mailing address on your license.

No matter where the firearm is shipped to, it should be stored at your licensed premises address, along with your bound book and your original license.

There's a procedure in place to change addresses if you move. You'll have to hunt around on ATF's website to find it, though. I don't remember off-hand.

I've already got the form needed. I'm just trying to figure out the best way to avoid having to change it periodicaly. My place of business would be best, but I am not about to store my stuff down there. People in and out all day, someone may get to inquisitive about a safe and come back when were closed.
