They are all matching serial numbers and are all about the same condition.

Envious. Waiting for my FFL03 to show up, I am missing out on the party. Maybe I can find one at the gun show tomorrow?

I'm betting there will be a lot roaming around the gun show. I wonder what they will be selling for. Might be worth waiting for your 03.

Am I missing something? Those look to be in bad condition? I don't collect SKS's but have owned and seen them. I was thinking about getting one but not sure now.

Not bad at all. Did you buy them from CAI directly or from Aims, J&G etc? Thanks.

Yup, I don't see any major rust. Marred stocks go with the territory. Stuff like SVT-40's collection are both rare and super expensive. These are used guns, likely used in battle, and they are old. The beaver chewing is kind of expected. The frosted ones worry me a little but everything else seems good.
...but their exists also in the human heart a depraved taste for equality, which impels the weak to attempt to lower the powerful to their own level, and reduces men to prefer equality in slavery to inequality with freedom.

It's all relative. If you care more about collecting than shooting, yes, they are beaters. Pay $500.00-$800.00 for a pristine Russian. But if you care more about shooting than collecting, the metal is all that matters. The stock can easily be replaced or refinished and these can look close to new. The metal on these looks pretty nice from what I can see. If the bores are good and there is no rust, these are beauties.

You should get one. I am picking one up within the next few weeks. SKS are really fun guns, a lot of Calgunners feel that their SKS is their most fun gun to shoot by far. Not a super accurate target rifle, but a fun plinker, varmint rifle.

lol you guys kidding me!? Man look at those things. A diamond in the rough! Some elbow grease, a little TLC and those will be ready to take on the paper targets. Plus for 250 and change!? No question of course get em!

As for the retail prices reports coming in that they are being sold for 350 already. That's just dumb.

That's where I was confused cause for a shooter wouldn't you just pick up a yugo in like new condition for $299? I thought you guys wanted these cause they were Chinese. If I get one it will go in my sand blaster then the park tank. Then timbersmith stock. Metal doesn't look pitted? Any rust pits on em?

OOO backstrap thanks for the high breaking ball right down the middle of the plate. Ok here's why in the answer to your question

                              1. Yugos (all of em) don't have chrome line like all the other SKS including these ones.
                              2. Type 56 EARLY Chinese Haven't been imported in this country since the late 80's early 90's
                              3. These are C&R and not just that, CA C&R which all Yugo's are not.
                              4. For 230 bucks plus shipping you basically have a Russian Quality type SKS that is virtually identical except for the stock which is easy to fix.
                              5. Don't have to worry about a Grenade Launcher and such.
