Were the Sino's made in 56 only??They must be dating them pre 61 or early 62 but how?I thought ATF didn't recognize the CH SKS as a C&R because there are no official records on production.

Federally, a c&r doesn't have to be 50+ years. These are probably granted c&r based on historic merit, even AIM recognizes that they are c&r now, even though they were insistent that they weren't at first.

Which is why most places won't ship to CA. j&g and century do, and I'd think they'd try to at least give you a 50+ years old range (going by the unrecognized dating method at least). The serials I've seen posted elsewhere all seem to be early and mid 50s production though.

they probably have some old dated and serialed manifests from when they were originally procured from china

i'm sure all the ducks are in a row cause its not easy to sneak stuff past customs

or not heck what do i know, they may have just painted the barrel tips orange and stuck them in airsoft boxes

Doubt it. These are 50 plus years old based on some shipping paperwork that turned up somewhere.

Lol, still going on about the C&R status of these. Call these places and educate them.

Century Arms has these on sale ("Cracked Stock") if you buy 5 at a time. They come out to around $200 each. They will also sell to those in CA with C&R Licenses.
