If by that you mean having to have a special license to buy a 60 yr old rifle, then yes, yes they are.

I agree... that's why I only ordered 3 and didn't get any money up front. If the guy who wants the 2nd one backs out and I don't find someone for the 3rd, looks like my brother in law and my best friend are getting SKS's for Christmas.

So if a 03 FFL buys one and gets it shipped to CA, he can sell it (at cost) to a fellow calgunner face-to-face, no dros or waiting period required? As long as he isn't doing it to make a profit?

He can make as much profit as he wants. He can't turn it into a business, but if he orders one and he doesn't like it, he's able to sell it for whatever he wants.
A lot of people on CGN will order 5 Mosins, keep the best 1 and sell the others for enough to pay for the one they kept.

They say bananas are good for brain cell growth so you can grow the two.

Do post a picture of what they ship.

                            Nice pics!

You know that rear sight ladder looks Russian, not Chinese. Based on the pics here:

So I guess these are a mix of Russian & Chinese parts (?)

Wow, the metal on those all looks great. Stocks are beat to heck but wouldn't be hard to refinish or just buy new wood. Nice!

I think they are all Chinese. That site shows the "n" on "early chinese".
