I have a winchester model 70 made in 1950 in 257 roberts. I restocked it with a fajen A grade monte carlo stock in 1983 and wonder if it would have a higher sales value with that stock or an original stock. I never shoot it and am going to sell it.Any ideas where would be the best place to sell it?

Any Winchester pre 64 in original configuration will bring more than if it's altered. Your .257 brings a premium too.
If you didn't get that 1950 date from myself or Bert Hartman, good chance it's wrong.

That is the latest date it could be . I will get serial number tomorrow. I got it from my father who had it starting about that time and it was used then.Comment
