Buy and Sell with a C&R FFL...

Quick question for your opinions: I am taking a large chunk of my gun collection to Arizona for a gathering of shooters. We get together once a year to eat drink and shoot.
If someone makes me an offer on one of my C&R guns, or if I decide to make one a gift to someone, is it legal for me to just hand it over?
I have a C&R FFL and live in CA. Most of the others are from AZ or states east.
I know, generally, a sale must comply with the state laws of both buyer and seller.
    What do you think?

Not unless they have a FFL.

    478.30 covers sales between non-licensees.
478.97 regards loaning and renting of firearms.

Keep in mind that the rest of the country is not California. Lots of FFLs don't feel the need to act out scenes from "Deliverance" (you play the part of Ned Beatty)for every transfer (ones near me in Reno charge about $20) nor is there the moronic waiting period.

Worst case, go to a dealer and do the transfer, pay a reasonable fee, and they take it home.

Plus my guess is the out of state dealer Fees would be less than what they have become here in CA.
