AIM Surplus VZ24s, anyone else got one?

Just received my AIM Surplus VZ24. Appears to be Romanian Contract, the rifle is gorgeous. Trying to get some photos taken of it. Nice strong rifling and one of the prettiest CR stocks that I have ever seen. Lots of cosmoline on these though.

I think the Vz.24s that AIM has are russian captured rifles, I could be wrong though.

Aye, I also heard that they were Russian capture, but they dont seem to be like the Russian K98s that have been popping up. From what I gathered on Gunboards was that these were Romanian issued that had the royal crest disfigured when they switched to a communist government and then were rearsenaled.

That was a hand select, as far as EC markings, I am unfamiliar. Where would they be?

Hmm on the Bolt, receiver etc, doesn't look like drunken Ivan got to it thought and scribbled a bunch of numbers so that's good

Aye, the bolt handle was renumbered to match but that is it.

Yours looks nicer though. I have since cleaned mine up and shot it. I could not get the handguard off or the trigger guard/magazine housing out of the stock. I didn't want to break anything so I let it be.
