    best mosin i have owned or seen

    cleaned up my big 5 1929 TULA and man is it fantastic. the wood is so beautiful i only used a hair dryer and WD 40 on the wood . the bore and metal are mint. by far the nicest mosin i have. on sale 118 bucks at chino hills about 3 weeks ago. keep looking guys they are still out their . all matching no counter bore. i would call this mosin as close as you can get to NEW un boxed.

              That must have been a heck of a find. Most of the Mosins I see at Big 5 are overpriced and look like they got thrown off of a roof, or perhaps were unearthed from the frozen tundra of the Steppes.

                You gotta keep looking, and be picky. Big 5 usually gets average condition 42-43 Izhevsk rifles...but there is occaisionally a gem in there.

                On Black Thursday a couple years back I went to several big 5s, looked through at least a dozen M/Ns before I found a 37 tula with mint bore/crown. That one came home with me

                Every once in a while, people find rare or very good shape M/Ns there, you jus gotta keep looking.

                  I'd love to have more Mosins! The first one bought as a novelty turned in 5 (four M91/30's and one M44) within a few months. Shooting them just makes it even worse! I don't have any more space and yet the allure of durable, beautiful, powerful, AND affordable C&R rifles is overpowering!

                    bought my first mosin about April, on sale big 5. now [1] 1905 M 91 tula, 5 91-30s and my FAV a 1955 Romanian M 44. i am starting to sell a couple of my redundant examples.
