Bayonet Guy At Crossroads Guns Shows

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way to contact the guy who comes to the Crossroads (at least Costa Mesa) gun shows and sells lots of especially difficult to find bayonets?

I was given a Beretta M1938 Carcano folding bayonet and was trying to find out info and value on it and he seems to know a lot the times I've met him.

    Thanks.

Keith, if he doesn't see your post, contact marysdad here on the forum, or at his website http://worldbayonets.com/
You'll be hard pressed to find anyone more knowledgeable when it comes to bayos. Send him good clear pics, especially any markings on the bayo and scabbard, you'll get a history lesson on it, and an honest straight forward appraisal.

+1 for marysdad. He doesn't have a huge number of posts here but he knows his bayonets.

I would be happy to help. There are a number of variations, some of which are quite valuable. Either post or e-me some pics and I'll give you a ballpark idea. You can also search completed auctions on eBay to see what examples are bringing.

Thanks marysdad. I will take some better pics of it including the serial number and maker's mark on the back of the handle and email them to you.

I have a M38 Carcano and have been looking for a folding bayonet for years. I see them come up on auction sites periodically, and bid on them, but when the bids pass $200 I drop out. I can't seem to justify a $250 bayo on an $80 rifle.
I hope that helps you with the value.

Keep your eyes peeled FT. I found one at the big Reno gun show for $25 a few years back on the table of a major auction house (who shoulda' known better).
