If not maybe you can post where I can go to find this type of help black powder Club, black powder friendly Rangemaster in my area... that type of thing.
    Thank you.
    Hi,

Can you tell us what your exact model is and then we'll provide you a list of supplies? Is this a revolver?

Once you have all the supplies I can meet you at Chabot Gun Club Nov 11th at range 5. Thats the day the black powder group meets and everyone is very experienced. Thats where I went first to shoot BP.
Everyone on Calguns keeps talking about TDS. I never knew we had so many fish keepers!

The TDS on my 10gallon tanks 110ppm
The TDS on my 29 gallon tank is 150ppm (due to substrate)

Hey Sousuke thank you for the quick reply. it is a single shot " Made in Dikar Spain
.45 cal." and " black powder only" is written on the 6 inch barrel, muzzle loading, not a revolver. it has a 6 digit serial number written on it near the nipple with a brass trigger and trigger guard. I know it's not worth a lot of money and probably a build it yourself kit that someone else completed before I got it. it is just in fair condition appearance wise but I was told it is modern and safe to shoot and I would like to make that happen. I have no stores that sell black powder accessories near me so I need the FFF G black powder or I prefer substitute maybe 777 brand, I believe it takes the number 11 percussion caps, some greased patches homemade or store bought it doesn't matter, and lastly I need the lead balls, I believe it'll take a .451 or .445 but you guys might know more then I would about that.
because I have not been bitten by the black powder or bug YET, I would prefer just a small amount of each of the things I need. if anyone is kind enough to help me with that.
Thank you so much for the invite to come to Chabot On November 11th at range 5 . and I will be there! (unless someone can help me at maybe the San Leandro range sooner which is a little bit closer to my location.) is anytime in the late afternoon okay?(I'm kind of busy in the mornings)
Calgunners are the best thank you ! I was going to pull a joke and tell you it was a Derringer I got it from my great great great grand daddy who got it from an actor named John Wilkes Booth who seemed to be in a real hurry to sell it. but you're too kind to be messed with. thanks again.

Is there anyone who knows a few places in the East Bay that sell black powder supplies? I will gladly settle for someone who has a little a extra of the supplies to sell that I've listed above. Thanks again.

Be careful, black powder is dangerous! As in dangerously addictive

A single shot muzzleloader pistol is about the easiest gun you can start off with. Some folks down at Metcalf range in San Jose shoot black powder. I shoot it occasionally.

Here are some range reports I've done on BP, they might be of assistance to you:
            72 cal Kodiak:

            54 cal Hawken:

            Colt 1860:

There are lots of videos on Youtube also if you search there.

As for supplies, Bay Area Gun Vault in Mountain View sells pyrodex and caps, and they probably sell round balls too.

Jamestown is pretty far from the Bay area.

I don't shoot Black Powder, but I do reload, and finding powder and primers in the bay area got to be pretty tough.

Bay Area stores that carry smokeless powder are probably the best places to contact. From memory, these guys all carry powder. None of them really qualify as East Bay either, but are a lot closer than Jamestown. Hell, Bass Pro in Manteca carries BP stuff, and they are probably an hour closer than Jamestown.

When I lived in the Easy Bay, what I ended up doing was hitting Bass Pro in Mantica whenever I happened to be in the area, and Hitting Cabela's, Scheels, and/or Sportsman's Warehouse when I was in Reno.

                Good luck.

If you want to come to my ranch I will supply and train you for some shooting. I've got room to shoot here. I am 11 miles east of Lodi on highway 12. Retired, so any day works pretty much.

                    Chabot

                    Sealocan:
I will be glad to help you on the second Sunday of any month, rain or shine, at Chabot, range #5. No charge.

Call Tabors in San Bruno. I hear they are going out of business. Ask them on the phone if they have stock on bp substitute and percussion caps. If you have a single shot pistol (I name them pirate guns) then the size lead ball is 0.440 or 0.445 for a 0.45 caliber pistol. Does not matter at this point which ones you get.

If Tabors cannot help, I second Imbert and Smithers in San Carlos.

I am not familiar with the East Bay stores.

wow! thank you everyone for the quick response, invitations ,advice, tips and everything. I knew Calgunners were cool ,but you black powder people are outstanding! Bronsht your right "pirate gun" is a good name for it and I would love to get 1 of those old metal belt clips like they use to have screwed on to the side of the gun.I think I'll go with the .440 lead ball because I can always throw extra greased patches around it if I need too.right??? thanks again everyone I hope to take everyone up on their invitations. when I do I hope you understand that I want to pay it forward and maybe bring the refreshments or somehow give something (or cash) back even if it's just putting something up in the want to give WTG section to thank you. One extra big thank you has to go out to Oldshooter32, helping your neighbor(and fellow shooter) learn and grow has never gone out of style in my opinion.
I can tell I'm going to like black powder even though I've never done it yet, that's all good you guys are.
